A. Website visitors and contact requests
What data we process
What is provided in the contact form (name, email, company, message) and the technical data of the visit (IP address, browser, pages viewed), the latter only with the cookies that are accepted. See the Cookie policy.
Purposes and legal bases
- Answering the request and preparing a proposal: pre-contractual steps at the data subject's request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Sending information about our services to those who asked for it or are clients: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) and, where applicable, consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). It is possible to object at any time.
- Measuring site usage in aggregate: consent to analytics cookies (Art. 6(1)(a)).
Retention
Contact requests are kept for two years from the last communication. Analytics data, for the period stated in the Cookie policy.
B. Clients
We process the contact details of the people acting on behalf of the client (name, work email, role) to provide and invoice the contracted service and to meet accounting and tax obligations. Legal bases: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)). Data are kept for the duration of the relationship and, afterwards, for the statutory limitation periods.
C. People who take part in studies or whose public data are analysed
Participants in surveys, interviews and groups
They take part voluntarily and with prior information about the study. Answers are processed in aggregate or pseudonymised form and reports do not identify any person, unless there is express consent. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). Identifying data are deleted when fieldwork closes; pseudonymised answers are kept for as long as the study and its review require.
Analysis of public content
Some studies analyse content published in the media, on social networks and in other open sources, including what content creators and public figures publish on their public profiles. We process those data on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in market and opinion research, with these safeguards: public information only, analysis aimed at trends and aggregates, quotations without the author's name when they are private individuals, and retention limited to the study. The solutions that produce reports on specific people (such as ValuesCheck) have their own privacy policy on their website.
Recipients
We do not disclose data to third parties except under a legal obligation. Providers working on our behalf under processing agreements include hosting in the European Union, email, web analytics and artificial-intelligence model providers, some established in the United States, with whom the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and any necessary supplementary measures apply.
Rights
Anyone may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection by writing to info@science4insights.com with the subject "Data protection" and identifying themselves. A complaint may also be lodged with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures: encryption in transit, access control, backups and team training. The contact form includes measures against automated submissions.
Changes
Any change will be published on this page with its update date.
